Day 5... Leveraging Your Universal Manager

One of my new favorite tools of Abraham Hicks that I've been using a lot lately is called the placemat process. It helps me when I'm feeling overwhelmed or unsure how to proceed or when I want inspiration throughout my day. It's also just a great way to prepave fun, awareness, safety, speed, efficiency, etc.

Here's how I've been using it... divide a blank page in two. On one side write down your to do list of things that you plan to do today. On the other side of the page write down what you want your universal manager to take care of. Your universal manager is like your magic genie in a bottle.

When I first heard about this process I was a little skeptical about how it could work... I mean really... is my universal manager going to write sales copy for me? Well... probably not, but what my universal manager could do for me is provide me with the inspiration, uninterrupted time and knowledge so I can write my own phenomenal sales copy easily.

One of the great side effects of playing with the placemat process is that it gets you to really think about what you want and why you want it. With a little practice, you start asking better questions of your universal manager. For instance, instead of asking "help me to decide what to do" you may want to ask "please help me to feel what is the best action to take that will bring me a sense of lasting joy" or "please help me to find the perfect person to help me build my business" or "please bring to me, people who are ready to hear my message" or "please provide me with more awareness around beliefs that are getting in the way of more joy", etc. It's getting specific about how you want to feel and what you want to accomplish while being general about how it will unfold.

If anyone has more examples of how this process works, please share them. Hope you find this process as helpful as I do!

  1. Day 5
Today I'm really low-energy. Thank you June Gloom for making me feel less guilty about sticking around the house! Rachel and I are home alone this morning and I'm overwhelmed with all there is to do. I'm the only one of the five of us sharing this beautiful home who maintains its cleanliness and I need some help not resenting that. I'm really hard on myself about how little I seem to accomplish. But it's noon straight up and I have 2 bags of clothes to donate to Vets, fresh sheets on our bed, washed dishes and swept/vacuumed floors. I should feel a sense of accomplishment but I feel a little 'blah'.
These two ladies knocked on my door an hour ago and Rachel opened it right up. I walked into my living room to find them standing there with their Jehovah's witness books. One stood back on the porch listening while the other talked about divisive religions and then began reading bible verses about God not accepting evildoers into the Kingdom of Heaven. I listened politely and told her we are all children of God and He loves us all. She went on and on asking my and my daughters name. I let her speak her peace and wished her well. Odd experience, how did I attract that one? It pains me when people use fear tactics to persuade others..she said at some point, "you're a mom, you wouldn't want any harm to come to your little girl" and I just didn't like the sound of it. I need to shake the creepy feeling. Rachel just watched Winnie The Pooh (so sweet) while I organized a closet & began this Post. Now it's over and she needs my attention. I do so often feel my attention being spread thin and find myself not getting back to what I begin. Well, I won't beat up on myself...off to participate with my daughter... :^)

  3. Joanna,

Thanks so much for providing a place to meet and discuss all the things that are so near and dear to my heart. You are a blessing to all who come in contact with you.

Each meeting I come away challenged to be a better person and apply what we are studying and learning. Putting the thoughts and actions into practice to achieve the things Source has stored up for each of us.

Last night was no different. I have decided to start each day with a better attitude and continue with the segmental thinking throughout the day. I have done this is the past but as you mention last night, thoughts start the moment we awaken.

This is the area that I will begin to place my attention as I do each evening at the end of the day. AS I recite the Rampage of Appreciation each night I will recite what I will call Rampage of expectations.

I find myself free of the past, eagerly anticipating the future while enjoying the present moment. I am enjoying the emotions of affirming all the blessings for the present and the ones to come. The Power of the Universe is at my disposal and my soul will bask in eternity with the glow, clarity, love, abundance and tranquility of this Power and Intelligence. And so the 4th day of bringing me into closer alignment has begun.

    Love to all Ron
